Shumaker has been a part of the National Ski Patrol since the
1999-2000 winter season. When not patrolling, he enjoys working in the cellular and wireless industry. He lives in Northville with his wife two kids and two dogs. He is a volunteer medic for Northampton Ambulance and enjoys golfing and kayaking in the summer.
