July 29 (Friday) Caroga Lake Music Festival. The Caroga Lake Music Festival, directed by Kyle Price, will be giving a concert at the Caroga Museum on July 29 from 7-9pm. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy an ice cream social along with the fabulous music this now famous group of musicians produce. Donations to help off-set the travel costs of the musicians will be accepted.
July 30 (Saturday) Alan Hitrick Band at Northville Waterfront Park. 6 pm (Pop/Rock) Summer Concerts @ The Northville Waterfront Park, Main St. The summer park concerts are sponsored by the Northville Merchants Association. Free will donation (Suggested donation: $5 per person)August 2 (Tuesday) Gallery Opening: Paul Bransom Paintings. The Caroga Historical Museum will be hosting an exhibit of Paul Bransom’s paintings from 7-9PM. In addition, there will be a talk by Wally Hart and Bill Crankshaw titled “Canada Lake Brush and Pen.” Refreshments will be served. Paul Bransom was a well-known animal and wildlife illustrator and painter who had a long, distinguished career, illustrating nearly fifty books on wildlife subjects including Call of the Wild by Jack London. Paul lived in the Caroga Lake area and our Museum is honored to have this fine collection. The exhibit will run from August 2nd -28th.
September 18 (Sunday) Course the Wall Trail Run Festival at Lapland Lake.
Your choice of 5K or 9K trail race on the Lapland Lake private trail network. The race course includes The Wall which is a short but steep hill conveniently located near the end of the course. Your registration fee includes race entry, T - shirt, and post - race BBQ party with live music. Spectators are welcome and may purchase a food ticket for $10 day of event. Minimum age for race participants is 15 years. Register online or download an application to print, fill out, and mail.
