Ski Orienteering -
Come join the fun! In Ski Orienteering
participants navigate through a series of points on a
prearranged cross country ski course and are timed as
individuals or as group members. You can do this as a NYSSRA
Championship qualifier or on an abbreviated non-competitive
2-3km course appropriate for juniors and adult first-timers. All
are welcome! The $22.00 entry fee includes full day facility use
pass and detailed color course map. Register between 11 am and 1

New Years Eve - December
Our New Years Eve celebration starts
indoors at the Tuulan Tupa Grill and ends outdoors witht a
pondside campfire. So guests and staff can be ready for
skiing the next morning, we compromise between Finland and
Eastern time zones and ring in the New Year a few hours early.
For Lapland Lakeís Ladies!
Lapland Ladies Love to Ski! These incredibly popular, fun
programs are exclusively for women, taught by women. Join us for
one, two or all three sessions!
From 9:30am - 2:30pm first-timer through intermediate level
female skiers, grouped by ability, will receive instruction in
classic technique (January 23 and February 20) and in skate ski
technique (March 5), enjoy lunch with an equipment & clothing
discussion, participate in a social group ski and group wrap-up
with hot beverage at the end of the day. The programs are led by
Lapland Lakeís PSIA-certified instructors Sherry Dixon, Susan
Henriksson, Jan Mares & Terry Ross.
Cost for each five-hour program is
$50 including facility use pass, lunch, and discount coupon for
equipment. Cost of rental equipment, if needed, is additional.
Minimum age to participate: 18. Program is pre-paid and 100%
refundable if no snow.
To ensure space, please pre-register.
Guided Evening Snowshoe
This winter evening is certain to create lasting memories! Package includes showshoe rentals and guided, gently paced night
time snowshoe tour to a lakeside campfire.
Roast símores and enjoy light snacks at the campfire.
The guided snowshoe tour begins at 6:30 pm and runs until
8:30/9pm. Arrive early and enjoy a complimentary pre-tour
appetizer at the Tuulen Tupa Grill.
Ages 18+, please. Space is limited; reservations are a
must! $34.00 ($28.00
if you provide your own snowshoes).
Please bring headlamps if possible; we have a limited
number of loaners.

Winter Trails Day January
9th 2:00 - 4:30 PM
Trails offers children and adults new to snow sports the chance
to try snowshoeing and cross country skiing for free,
and to discover the great fitness and social benefits with these
easy-to-learn winter sports.
Lapland Lake is offering complimentary 2:00
- 4:30 PM afternoon facility use, beginner x-c ski lesson for
adults and children from age 5 & ski rentals for first-time
participants. Pre-registration is required for first-timers
participating in Winter Trails Day. Other resort activities
include snowshoeing, tubing on our junior hills, ice-skating on
our pond and visiting with our resident reindeer. Our spacious
two-story warming lodge with its toasty wood stove is the
perfect place to relax and visit with other outdoor enthusiasts.
Plan to join us for an extraordinary afternoon when you will
enjoy Adirondack splendor and warm Finnish hospitality!
Soup-er Seniors Thursdays
Ski and Snowshoe Day. Those 65+ are invited to enjoy a free
cup of hot soup at our Kuuma Feeding Station.
Discounted facility use
fee of only $18 to those 65+ daily.
