powder conditions with 100% operation!
All 50km of trails are open:
38km of x-c ski trails beautifully snowcat groomed by Olavi with trackset & skating lanes; 12km of stunning snowshoe
trails. Compacted base averages up to a
foot of snow, 8 - 12",
with more than a foot-and-a-half, 19", in our woods.
Today is expected to be sunny but cold with a high of 12.
Sunday is expected to be cloudy with a
high of 20. Snow is likely Sunday night into
Monday; accumulations will ultimately be determined
by the track of the storm. Information will be
posted here as we receive details.
Please note: Due to cold
temperatures and wind chill values today, children's
lessons (11:15am and 1pm) and the afternoon
children's Reindeer Rally are cancelled. We expect
to be able to offer these programs Sunday.
All outdoor enthusiasts should dress for cold
temperatures today and wear face protection.
Ski lessons are offered daily for
adults and on weekends & holidays
for children from age 5. Our
incredibly popular and exciting
Reindeer Rally fun on skis for kids
is offered weekends & holidays from
2:15 - 3:45pm. Our two junior tubing
hills are open daily, and
reindeer, Viima, loves to visit with
the young and the young-at-heart!
Our Napa Kiikku ice sled ride for
children on the pond is great fun
and runs from 2 - 3pm weekends & holidays.

Our "Finnish Line" Lodge is filled with pleasant folks and has a toasty fire in its woodstove, and our
Tuulen Tupa Grill is open daily for lunch and snack service serving warming and satisfying fare. Dinner service is available Saturday evenings
at the Grill throughout the winter season - advance reservations are recommended and appreciated.

This winter evening is certain to create lasting
memories! Light dinner and dessert (special menu) at
our cozy Tuulen Tupa Grill followed by a gently
paced snowshoe tour. Stop by our lakeside campfire
to roast s'mores! Package includes dinner, dessert,
coffee or tea, snowshoe rentals, s'mores and guided
tour. $38.00 ($33 if you provide your own
snowshoes). Ages 12+, please. Space is limited;
reservations are a must! Dinner at 5pm; snowshoe
tour 6:30-8:30pm. Please bring headlamps. We have a

invited to enjoy a free cup of hot homemade soup at our
Tuulen Tupa Grill. Discounted facility use fee of only $20 to
those 65+ daily. Meet new friends who share your enthusiasm for

Introduction to Snowshoeing & Animal Tracking Tour! 10 - 11:30am
This fun, educational tour on Lapland Lake's stunning snowshoe
trails is the perfect orientation to this wonderful winter
sport! We'll fit you properly with snowshoes & poles, and a
guide will lead you along our easier marked & mapped snowshoe
trails allowing you to become comfortable with equipment &
technique. Enjoy trekking alongside brooks, streams & near
scenic Woods Lake, stopping along the way to give a hearty hello
to Viima, Lapland Lake's resident reindeer! Each participant
will receive an animal tracking guide to help identify the many
animal tracks you may see along the way. $23 package includes
rental snowshoes & poles, guided tour &
hot beverage. Keep your snowshoe rentals to use for the balance
of the day or exchange for another set of rental gear to enjoy
another activity (surcharge may apply). Facility use pass is
additional (ages 12-17 and 65+ $20; ages 18+ $22). We recommend bringing along water & energy snack.
