We would like to express our heartfelt appreciation for your support of Lapland Lake this past winter. We are so fortunate to live in this gorgeous part of the country and to operate this very special business. Many of you have become like family to us through the years. We hope you have many wonderful memories of your time with us, and we look forward to seeing you next season!

There's nothing quite like the hustle and bustle of the winter season. It was a pleasure to see our staff and our customers become re-acquainted (or in the case of new employees, well-acquainted) and to watch each of you as you enjoyed the snow, beautiful scenery and varied winter activities.

Even though Mother Nature invited spring to make an early entrance, we still skied over 100 days, 102 to be exact, this season. In fact, we have skied at least 100 days every year but one during our 32 years of operation.

It was an eventful 32nd season. We celebrated Olavi's 50th anniversary as a member of the 1960 US Olympic Team in Squaw Valley, CA. Along with your generous support, we were able to contribute over $1,200 to the American Red Cross relief effort in Haiti. Our new 2010 Prinoth Husky snowcat was a "winner" allowing Olavi to provide some of the best grooming we have ever offered. Skiers purchased the largest number of Season Pass Memberships sold in a season. (We're looking to top that number during the 2010-11 winter season!)

Lapland Lake's Volunteer Ski Patrol members would like to thank everyone for their support . The winners of this year's raffle prize drawing are Terry and Rick Myser who may choose between two season pass memberships or a midweek two-night stay in one of our tupas and Jim Livingston, winner of a pair of beautiful, new Tubbs snowshoes! Many thanks to Mike Kaz and to Tubbs for their continuing support of Lapland Lake and of our Ski Patrol!

We will celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary in May. Still in love after all these years!  Olavi's 80th birthday is December 26th. We'll have to come up with something truly special to celebrate this milestone!
