Tupas are cleaned thoroughly after each use (there is no

tupas. Incoming messages are cheerfully delivered to your tupa from 10am-5pm (after hours in event of emergency.)
- Lapland Lake provides its winter day visitors
and year round overnight guests with complimentary local and long distance
service within the Continental United States via a telephone located in our "Wax Room".
This room is
accessible 24/7. Those wishing to make international calls,
including calls to Alaska and Hawaii,
need to do so using an international
calling card (available for purchase from the "Finnish Line"
office during regular business hours). Please note: incoming
calls to this telephone may be received without charge from
anywhere in the world.
- Lapland Lake provides a complimentary
wireless signal in our "Finnish Line" Lodge and in
our Tuulen Tupa Grill for guests who
bring personal electronic devices. Please note that security and access
settings for devices may vary and are the responsibility
of the guest. Lapland Lake is unable to provide computers or
technical assistance.
- A fax machine is available during office hours.
There is no fee for incoming faxes. Outgoing faxes are
charged at $1.00 per page.
- Cell service is not yet available in the Benson township, but service is available in the nearby Village of Northville.
- Lapland Lake is a non-smoking facility; smoking is prohibited inside all buildings. We thank you for your cooperation.
- Lodging guests may arrive as soon as trails open for the day and enjoy skiing, snowshoeing, tubing and other public facilities until their tupa is prepared. If your tupa was not rented the night prior, in most instances you will be able to settle in as early as 11am. When tupas are changing over from guest to guest, we endeavor to have cleaning completed by 4pm. However, during excessively active lodging periods, tupas may be prepared somewhat later.
- Check-out time is 11:00am, but guests are welcome to enjoy our public facilities until 4:30pm on day of departure. A public shower with changing room is available. (If your tupa is not rented on the evening of your checkout, a 4:00pm checkout is available for a nominal fee of $20/adult and $10/child ages 6-17.

service animals. A kennel is located south of the resort in the Town of Perth; we will be pleased to provide details.
We appreciate your cooperation in
understanding that reservations ensure your accommodations will
be available as you have requested them and assures Lapland Lake
that accommodations are sold as confirmed. Please read the
following terms closely. Receipt of your deposit serves as
acceptance of Lapland Lake’s deposit-refund policy as detailed
below.
-
Deposits:
To confirm a lodging reservation a 50% deposit is required
at the time of booking. The balance is payable at time of
check-out.
-
Cancellations:
We are a small resort, rather off the beaten path (we prefer
it this way). As such, cancellations affect us
significantly.
Cancellations made up to 21 days before arrival (up to 42
days for our largest units, Latu and Lapin Tupas, and for
groups renting three or more tupas) are
subject to a $30 per tupa cancellation fee. The balance of your
deposit will be refunded promptly.
If you cancel your reservation for any reason, including
inclement weather, within the 21/42 day window, we will
endeavor to re-rent your tupa(s) to another party. If we are
successful, a per tupa $30 cancellation fee will apply and the
balance of your deposit will be refunded promptly. If we are
unable to successfully re-rent your tupa, you will forfeit
the full amount of your deposit.
For any reason, should you arrive after the date specified as
your arrival date or depart prior to the final date of your
reservation, you will be responsible for payment of your
entire stay as originally booked.
-
Holiday Deposits and 100%
Prepayments:
If
your reservation is held within a holiday period (the
Christmas-New Year’s holiday period, Martin Luther King Jr.
Weekend or Presidents’ Weekend) your final balance is due 21
days prior to your arrival date. This 100% prepayment is
non-refundable for any reason, including inclement weather.
Should you find it necessary to cancel your reservation with
21 or fewer days notice (42 or fewer days’ notice for Latu
or Lapin Tupas, and for groups renting three or more tupas), we will endeavor to re-rent your tupa. If
we are able to successfully re-rent your tupa for the exact
dates of your stay, we will refund your 100% prepayment less
a $30 per tupa cancellation fee.
-
Payment:
Payment may be made
by cash, MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover,
personal or traveler’s checks made payable to Lapland Lake,
Inc. There will be a $30 charge on any returned check.
If we are fully
booked for the dates/size tupa you require, or if you are
looking for pet-friendly alternatives, please let us know and we
will be happy to provide information on nearby accommodations.
