"Hair of the Dog” to Present a Celtic

The enormously popular Celtic band, “Hair of the Dog” will perform on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 6:00 pm at the Northville Waterfront Park, Main Street, Northville, NY. The event is sponsored by the Sacandaga Valley Arts Network (SVAN). In case of rain, the concert will be held in the Northville Central School auditorium, on Bridge Street in Northville.
Buck Moon Arts Festival 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

The stage is set for the second annual Buck Moon Arts Festival, Saturday July 11th from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., centered on the tree-lined FM campus quad. The mid-summer celebration of the creative spirit is a showcase for some of the best artists, crafters, musicians and performers from around the region. Cool activities are sure to entertain patrons of all ages.
The festival is slated to kick off on Friday evening, July 10th from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. Featured will be an opening reception for the juried FM Alumni Art Show in the lovely Perrella Gallery. Acoustic guitar duo KoriSoron will perform music from their culturally eclectic playlist on the outdoor stage at 8:00 p.m. Artists and craft vendors will be on hand in a number of booths.

Johnson Hall Market Fair 10:00 AM
A recreation of an event first hosted by Sir William Johnson in 1772. There will be a period sutlers (vendors) market as well as colonial craft demonstrations and much, much more.

Seventh Annual Woodworking and Fine Arts Weekend
Where: Bradt Building and Park, Main Street, Northville
Northville Rotary’s Seventh Annual Woodworking and Fine Arts Weekend July 17-19 will feature more than 50 accomplished artists from this area and beyond. Woodworkers, jewelers, weavers, potters, photographers, painters, and many others artists will display and sell their artwork at the Bradt Building and Park on Main Street in the village of Northville on the beautiful Great Sacandaga Lake. The weekend will begin with a “Meet the Artists” Reception on Friday from 5:00-8:00. Hours Saturday will be 9-5 and Sunday 10-3 and include demonstrations, raffles, and a silent auction. Food can be purchased. Proceeds from this event will be used throughout the year to provide scholarships to students, support community organizations, and projects of Rotary International.

Caroga Historical Museum Annual Craft Fair 10:00 AM – 03:00 PM
Where: Caroga Historical Association and Museum, 145 London Bridge Road, Caroga Lake 12032
The Caroga Historical Museum Annual Craft Fair features crafters, a bake sale, and raffles from 10 am to 3 pm. Food is offered from 11 am to 3 pm. Eileen Wrightsman will be on site with a weaving demonstration. Music will feature the Durey Creek Bluegrass Band from 11 am to 2 pm. Raffle drawings will take place at 2 pm.
