The Addams Family features an original story and its every father's nightmare. Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family, a man her parents have never met, and if that weren't upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now Gomez Addams must do something he's never done before-keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday's normal boyfriend and his parents. CORVETTE CRUISE IN, Eagle Mills Cider Company, 383 County Highway 138, Broadalbin, (518) 883-8700

Event is to be held Saturday, Oct 4th (Rain date Sunday Oct 5th). Check out some super cars as we host our annual CORVETTE CRUISE IN in conjunction with Vettes In Perfection.  A show that is open for all Corvette owners, and public viewing. Food and children's activities will be open, too.  Cider Mill in operation. Breakfast Buffet served from 8:00 - 10:30.Lunch will be available from 11:30 until 2 p.m.  (Corvette car entry fee charged by V.I.P. club with proceeds going to Hole in the Wall Camp for seriously ill children.) Best time to view the Corvettes is between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.  Over 100 Corvettes expected to be in attendance. FREE ADMISSION to car show, with nominal charge for children's activities and food.

The North Bush United Methodist Church will host its annual Roast Beef Dinner at the Wheelerville Union Free School on Saturday, October 4th from 3 pm to 7 p.m.  A dinner of roast beef and gravy, mashed potatoes, squash, green beans, applesauce, coleslaw and rolls will be served family style.  An assortment of beverages and homemade desserts will be available to complete the meal.  Tickets will be available only at the door, Wheelerville Union Free School. Adults - $10, children under 12 - $5, and children under 5 free

An evening of Good Taste is an annual event of Habitat for Humanity of Fulton County, Inc. The event is scheduled for Saturday, 4 October form 6 PM - 9 PM at the Johnstown Moose Lodge, 109 S. Comrie Avenue, Johnstown, N. Y. 12095.  It is an evening of pasta and wine pairings, fine desserts, and over 35 baskets to be raffled.  Participating restaurants are Gianna's, Gloversville; Partner's Pub, Johnstown; Wine & Roses, Broadalbin;, Romana's Italian Kitchen, Johnstown; Sam's Seafood and Steakhouse, Johnstown; Vinces's Pizza and Pasta, Johnstown, Union Hall Inn, Johnstown, Railyard Restaurant, Gloversville, Top of the Hill Grill, Johnstown, House of Pizza, Gloversville, and Russo's Grill, Amsterdam/Broadalbin.  Wine samples will be provided by Galway Rock Vineyard & Winery, Galway; Spirits of the Adirondacks, Johnstown; Oliva Vineyards, Fort Edward; Route 30 Wine & Liquor Depot and a host of contributing sponsors.  Desserts will be provided by Cake and Chocolate Creations, Broadalbin, Rauch's Bakery, Gloversville; The Plaid Giraffe, Johnstown; Price Chopper, Gloversville, Hannaford, Gloversville, and Price Chopper, Johnstown.  Brass and Ivory will provide musical entertainment of popular and light classics. Advance tickets may be purchased at The Fulton Montgomery Chamber of Commerce and Mohawk Harvest Co-op both in Gloversville beginning July 1st.  Advance tickets:  $20 per person or $25 at the door.  For further information call (518) 773-4912 and leave a message. There will be pumpkin painting, horse-drawn wagon rides, potato sack races, three-legged races, hoola hoop contest, bounce houses, music, food, vendors and more. The day will conclude with a children's Halloween costume parade and trick or treating at 5pm. Hosted by the City of Gloversville Recreation Commission. Free

Gloversville Community Music presents "Folklore". A program featuring the Glove City Winds and the Glove City Community Winds on Saturday, October 18th at 7:00pm. The program will explore music based on folk tales and folk music. Tickets are $7 pre-sale and $10 at the door. The Glove City Community winds is a community wind ensemble focusing on fostering the success of high school, collegiate and community musicians. The ensemble is open to any musicians in the area, as well as the capital district. The ensemble is under the direction of Katharine Kollias. The Glove City Winds, under the direction of Joshua Thompson is an all volunteer, professional ensemble of musicians from across the Northeastern United States. They will be performing Shostakovich's Scherzo in F Majors, Op. 1,  Eric Whitacre's "The Seal Lullaby" with soloist Lisa Vosburgh, and Jan Van der Roost's masterpiece, "Puszta: Four Gypsy Dances".
