Don
Burkett has been a Member of Lapland Lake's Ski Patrol for 27
seasons. He began alpine skiing in the 1970's and then became
interested in cross country skiing. Now retired from his 27-year
career as a librarian and cataloguer for the New York state
Library, Don is an EMT who was active with the Western Turnpike
Rescue Squad for 22 years and is a volunteer fire fighter for
the Westmere Fire Department.
